Posted by Sir Geek on 08/20/2005 1:25PM Early Thursday morning (about 7 AM) Callie is woken up by large amounts of noise outside our house. A few days earlier, our neighbor told us that she had called the city about getting our sidewalks redone. They decided to do it this week. They never bothered to tell us that this was happening and we only knew thanks to our neighbor. Callie and I haven't been sleeping great ( We are still grieveing big time for Tuxie :( ) . And Callie getting woken up 4 hours earlier than normal isn't a good thing. I warned the work men that Callie was has not had much sleep and would normally still be sleeping at this time. So that if anything happend to the rose bushes next to the side walk, She'd emasculate each one of them. They were REALLY careful after that *g* . It will be nice, the sidewalk has sucked ever since we moved in ( 12 years ago ). Its always been 1/2 eaten by acid rain and just not level. They have the old sidewalk removed and the end of my driveway is gone too. They should be finishing up by Monday or Tuesday but I'll have to park on the street for a few days though. Such is life. |
