Tuxie must be special

Due to Tuxie's IBD she has been segregated in one room ( due to the fact that she's also a "marker" and when she tries to mark, something other than urine comes out ).

With the past weeks weather and heat/humidity, we've felt really bad for her ( being stuck in a 85+ degree room ). We had left windows open so it wouldn't be stifling in there but that totally screwed up mine and Callie's sinuses. So what did we do ? We bought the little fuzz monkey her own air conditioner. You heard me, her own air conditioner. Well, once she's not locked in the room anymore, the AC will help cool down/remove moisture from the entire 2nd floor.

Did I also mention that this cat is now on anti-depressants ( Elavil ) to help stop her marking habits ? So this 14 year old cat is on currently 3 medications.

  1. Predesone - to help with the IBD

  2. Flagyl (Metronidazole) - antibiotic ( to help with the IBD ) - One more day of this drug

  3. Amitriptyline - Anti-Depressant to help stop her from wanting to mark.

She's worth it. Tuxie is really a very very very sweet kitty. I hate having her locked in the bedroom but I have having to clean up piles of cat poop of the carpeting. To make it up to Tuxie, Callie and I go up there and spend 2 or 3 hours watching movies or playing video games in the room with her.

Are we weird or would you do the same thing too ?
