It has been a while, but here's another update on our cats.

As you know we lost one of our elder cats, Tuxie at age 14.

Well, back in March, we lost one of our "kittens" from heart disease ( you can find more info about it here -
http://dsl.org/hcm/ ). We wound up taking his remains to Tufts animal hospital for an autopsy to determine cause of death.

Well we found out and also learned that it is hereditary so we had his momma and 2 brothers checked out and sure enough, they have early signs of it. So Midnight and Inky are both on Atenelol 1 time a day to keep things in check.

We're crossing our fingers that we caught it in time.

I use a Firefox plugin called Stumble Upon. One of the groups of links I get are ones about Liberty. this one is one of the best ways I have ever seen to present how our liberties are supposed to work.

Well. The kitties are doing well. Callie has a minor health issue that cropped up shortly after we lost Tuxie. She needs thyroid medicine to slow down an overactive thyroid. This had us panicing because Callie had started to lose weight (just like Tuxie) and we didn't want to go through losing another loved one. But now with her meds, she gained back some weight and is almost to her normal weight again. Thank God for http://www.westernmasscompound.com/ without them, it would be a nightmare to medicate Callie twice a day. Instead she demands her medicine and takes it happily.
